It seems today, that everywhere we look, there’s a new philosophy, a new debate, a new theory. Knowledge has greatly increased and will keep increasing. Values are fast changing, and virtues are being eroded.
It has become imperative that we all examine our belief systems. Why do you have certain beliefs and ideals, and why not? What forms your values? What informs your decisions?
For a Christian, it is Christ. We have to be reminded of the authority of the Word of God in our fast-paced society. Christ informs our values and ideals. This is what it means to be a follower, this is what it means to believe.
As subject matters keep arising, as lifestyle patterns keep changing, as values keep being questioned, as virtues keep being deemed obsolete, we must remember what we stand for. We must remember Who we stand for. We must remember what we believe. We must stand for Who we believe.
