God’s Words Vs the Strive to Remain Relevant

When God has put people in a place of influence or has given them His words to speak to people, an enemy springs up to rob them of their relevance.

This enemy is the desire to keep themselves relevant and consistent. It expresses itself in the need to always have something to say about every passing issue.

It’s not necessary to give your opinion on every trend. Remember that God has given you His words. That’s what should be spoken, not your opinion.

If you have any measure of influence, it’s the job of the One who has given you that platform to keep you there. And it’s His prerogative to tell you when your time there has elapsed.

He might decide that it’s time to make a change or time to exit. If that is perceived as inconsistent, that’s fine. Just don’t stay on a platform that God has left.

“So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do.”
‭‭-Paul (Ephesians‬ ‭5:15-17‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

Have a fruitful week.

Love,
Laura
